Top Reasons to Choose Childtowne Montessori School

Child-centered learning

Our Montessori teachers design effective, individual learning experiences for each child aged 18 months to kindergarten age. Our programs focus on the children and not the teacher. Our multi-aged classrooms are specifically prepared to encourage each child to reach his or her individual potential.

High quality, experienced staff

All our highly qualified lead teachers and head of school have earned their Montessori teaching credentials and have many years of experience guiding young children in Montessori classrooms.

Secure learning environment

Our primary consideration in the design of our programs, policies, and facilities is your child’s safety and security. We equip our classrooms with high quality, educational, hands-on equipment and materials. In this nurturing environment, learning blossoms. We have recently added safety features to the building and educated staff about current safety protocols.

Fun with language, music, art, and yoga

The preschool and kindergarten children take part in foreign language learning activities led by an experienced language teacher. We have invested in weekly yoga classes for both the afternoon programs. Music and body movement is a highlight of each week for classrooms in all age groups, when our experienced music professional comes with drums, scarves, guitar, and many musical instruments to lead the children in song, dance, rhythm, and movement activities for 30 minutes in each class. The kindergarten children enjoy art and art appreciation, and have explored masters including, Picasso, Mondrian, Matisse, and Kandinsky! They use a variety of mediums to create masterpieces of their own.

Small class sizes

We have purposefully small class sizes to ensure quality Montessori instruction, adequate spacing, and a calm, peaceful environment.

Parent satisfaction

Parents are very satisfied with their children’s experience, and credit the solid foundation received at Childtowne Montessori School with their child’s later success, including their transition from kindergarten to grade school. We maintain excellent and diverse communication with parents. For example, we have a google photo album for each child that is updated weekly. We have in-person observations, conferences, and progress reports in both the fall and spring. In addition, there is a weekly “Friday Flyer” newsletter that includes school news, updates, and parent education articles.

Best practices

All classrooms at Childtowne Montessori practice the Montessori philosophy and approach to learning, led by Montessori trained teachers and staff. As a school, we are cognizant about being flexible to every child’s needs, which is why Childtowne Montessori “follows the child.” As noted by Dr. Steve Hughes, President of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychologists, “When examined through the lens of environmental enrichment and brain development, Montessori education presents a radically different and radically effective educational approach that may be the best method we’ve got to ensure the optimal cognitive, social, and emotional development of every child.”

Team mindset and commitment to excellence

We value our team: We make decisions together, we practice peer observations and reviews, we make time for communication, and everyone is consistent in their practices. This promotes a positive and peaceful culture that benefits the entire community.

We have a commitment to excellence: Each year we surpass the training requirements and choose innovative and informative experiences that support us on our journey to provide the best early education possible.
